Gotta love her: Bride by Steve and Cheryl, photography by Johannes, album by Queensberry Why do images look so good in books? I asked myself that question as I walked out of the new Aussie movie, Tomorrow when the war began in which the main character delivers a satiric line, "The book usually is better than the movie"... Take an image accompanied by a line of text in a great print ad. Or a series of images of a bride walking down the aisle in an album. Or a double page spread of a horizon in National Geographic. I reckon it's because the real beauty of the images is only discovered when they're To View More >>
UK photographer Simon Whitten of Firehorse Photography shot Emma and Ben's wedding in the heart of winter on 9 January, 2010. Simon says, "This was my fourth wedding in a row this winter with snow on the ground, but it didn't stop us spending 20 minutes shooting the couple in the ruins of the neighbouring Bolton Priory... complete with Emma's grandmother's fur coat." They married at the New Life Church in Bradford, Yorkshire followed by their reception at The Devonshire Arms in the Yorkshire Dales. To view more of Simon's work check out his blog. But my intention has been to share our experiences and insights, not to compare our wedding to another. And the truth is that the weddings we're lucky enough to share in at Queensberry take place everywhere, "from humble homes to palaces." To View More >>

He asked her if she'd mind sharing with us - Nigel Just like Johannes, I read Ian's comments the other day about selling to men with great interest, because of late, we've noticed a real trend in our business: Grooms seem to like us more than brides do! While that's actually mildly alarming in one way (we don't want brides NOT to like us!), it's also a good thing. It means we don't need to worry about the grooms seeming bored, terrified, or otherwise un-engaged with us and what To View More >>

My name is Angelique Buckley, and I am the newest member of the Photojunction Support Team. If you are an avid reader of The Junction like I am, you may have already heard of me. I've been featured on the blog four times already, and can't wait to play a bigger role in the growth of Photojunction. So a little background about me... I am a huge nerd and I love photography. Maybe that's why I fit in so well into the Queensberry team? I studied Graphic Design in school, minoring To View More >>
